Locally owned and operated, Monroe's Moe's Original BBQ is led by North Carolina natives the Gentry and Davis families. Co-owner Brooke Gentry's connection to Moe's began almost a decade ago at the former Matthews, NC location, where she developed a deep passion for barbecue and hospitality. In 2022, she turned that dream into reality, joining forces with Russell Gentry and Paul Davis to bring their own Moe's to the Union County community. All menu items are made from scratch daily, featuring award-winning meats slow-smoked over oak and fruit woods, classic Southern sides, Moe's famous house-made sauces, and rotating seasonal specials — all in a space built for the whole community to gather. Guests can dine in, take out, or order via DoorDash. With a dedicated children's area, bar seating with TV packages, beer and wine, and local brewery taps on the way, Monroe's Moe's is a must-visit for Union County locals, Charlotte commuters, and beyond.
